Nicole Lapierre, also known by her maiden name Bazinet, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, following a brief illness. We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beloved mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by her adoring husband Bernie in 2005, as well as her parents, Fedime and Alice Bazinet. She is survived by her four daughters: Christine Edwards (Greg), Lori-Anne Nikitopoulos (Paul), Michelle Lapierre, and Julie Lapierre. Nicole was also a loving grandmother to Tara-Lee, Tom, Sophia, and Dena. She was a cherished sister to four brothers and four sisters, along with their families, all from the Cornwall and Ottawa Valley area.

Nicole Lapierre grew up on a farm and led a simple life. Her family and sports were her greatest joys, and in recent years, she found immense happiness in her favorite activities—crocheting and watching her beloved Habs or Blue Jays on television. Nicole’s beautiful smile will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for family and friends will take place at the Gordon F. Tompkins Township Chapel (613-546-5150), located at 435 Davis Dr, Kingston, on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 12:00 p.m., followed by burial at Cataraqui Cemetery. After the service, the family will receive guests back at the funeral home for refreshments. We express our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and PCA’s at KHSC and Hotel Dieu Hospital for their exceptional care and kindness during Nicole’s time in their care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lionhearts Inc. or a charity of your choice. Online condolences and shared memories can be expressed at: http://www.gftompkinstownship.ca.
