Norman Edward Saunders &nbsp(Normie)

Norman Edward Saunders peacefully passed away on October 26, 2023, while holding hands with his beloved wife of 64 years, Phyllis, lovingly known as “Hibby”. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Norman is survived by his wife, Phyllis, and their children: Robert (Carole), Victoria (Byron), Laura (William), and Michael (Vicki), as well as his grandchildren: Corey (Laura), Jamie, Kaleigh, Allena, Bryanna, and Nathan.

During his younger years, Norman served honorably with the RCAF and worked as an esteemed Air Traffic Controller. However, it was in his retirement years that he found true joy in life. He treasured traveling, spending quality time by the pool, and hosting joyful BBQs with his family and friends. Norman’s vibrant spirit and zest for life were truly admirable.

“Stormin’ Norman” will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His fondly remembered presence will continue to bring warmth, joy, and inspiration to those who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives. A celebration of Norman’s remarkable life will be held in the spring, allowing family and friends to gather and pay tribute to a truly remarkable man.
