Norm passed away suddenly on October 22, 2023, at the age of 78. He was a loving husband to Marie for 56 wonderful years. Norm was the proud father of Michelle Nadon, John, and Diana Hooper. He adored his grandchildren, Meagan, Sydney, Matthew, Liam, Marcia, Grady, as well as his great-grandchildren, Hera and River. Norm is preceded in death by his parents, Gabrielle and Oza, and his parents-in-law, Saul and Rose Sargis. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Norm had a remarkable talent as a goalie and played for various Riverside Travel Hockey Teams, including the Juvenile All-Stars. He also served the Canadian Armed Forces for five years as a Peace Keeper. Additionally, Norm dedicated 20 years of his life as a cherished caretaker of St. Anne’s Church. During his retirement, his greatest joy was spending quality time with his family, especially his beloved wife, Marie.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – Banwell Chapel on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 2:00 pm, followed by the Interment at St. Anne’s Cemetery. Norm, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, will be remembered for his talent, service, and devotion to his family. May he rest in peace.
