Olive CHAMBERS

Olive Frances Chambers, formerly known as Olive Frances Palmer, has departed from our midst, leaving behind a void that cannot be filled. She was not only a devoted wife, but also a cherished sister, daughter, aunt, and a true confidante to her loyal friends. Olive held her family, friends, community, and church close to her heart, and she had a nurturing spirit that she generously shared, providing wisdom and guidance to those who crossed her path.

In the journey of life, Olive encountered numerous losses that weighed heavy on her heart. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Chambers, in 2005, as well as her dear sister, Joyce Pattison, and her parents, William Frances Palmer, and Olive Maude, formerly known as Olive Maude Prouse. While these departures undoubtedly brought sadness into Olive’s life, she was fortunate to have the affection and presence of her nieces, Karen Goucher and Lori Macdonald. Additionally, she found solace in the company of her great-nephews, Gregory and Bradley Macdonald, and was blessed with two great-great nieces, Isabela and Yazmina.

Olive’s circle of faithful companions extended beyond her immediate family. Their number was too vast to enumerate, but the gratitude she felt towards each of them was immeasurable. Ron, David, Sharon, and countless others provided unwavering support to her until the very end. Their presence brought comfort and solace during Olive’s final moments. The void left behind by Olive’s departure is indeed profound, and our hearts ache incomprehensibly as we bid farewell to this extraordinary soul.

Relatives and friends gathered at Denning’s of West Lorne, located at 202 Main Street, West Lorne (519-785-0810), on Saturday, October 28, 2023. The visitation started at 10 a.m., culminating in the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Finally, Olive was laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, where she will find eternal peace.

In memory of Olive’s remarkable life, her family requested that memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson Society. The family would deeply appreciate any support for this cause that touched Olive’s heart.
