Ovila Cormier

Ovila Cormier, 81, of Saint-Antoine, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hospice Sud-Est Albert House, Moncton on October 26, 2023. He was married to Georgina (Maillet) Cormier. Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, he was the son of Adélard and Elise (Collette) Cormier, both of whom have preceded him in death.

He is survived by his beloved wife Georgina, his three children Dorine Cormier, Monique Cormier (Jean-Marc) of Saint-Gregoire, and Hubert (Joan) of Dixon Point. Ovila is also survived by his four grandchildren, Mélanie, Mona, Krissy, and Joey, as well as his two great-grandchildren, Jax and Jayden. Additionally, he leaves behind his brother Cédric (Stella) of Shediac, along with several nephews and nieces. Ovila was predeceased by his son Conrad, sisters Rita, Flovila, and Anita, and brothers Noël and Albert.

Visitation will take place at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church slumber Room in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent on October 31, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 3:45 pm. A funeral Mass will follow at the Sainte-Marie-de-Kent Church at 4:00 pm, with interment in the parish cemetery.
