Pauline Keirstead

Pauline Keirstead, a beloved member of the Hopewell Hill community, passed away peacefully on October 30th, 2023 at the age of 95. Born on March 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Vaughn and Lila Daley. Pauline’s family was the most important part of her life, and she dedicated herself to their happiness and well-being. Her loving home was always filled with love and she consistently supported her husband, children, and grandchildren. She found solace and strength in her faith, attending various Baptist churches throughout her life. Pauline was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star and graciously served as Worthy Matron multiple times. Her exceptional baking skills brought joy to many, as she lovingly made bread, rolls, pies, and delicious treats. Pauline enjoyed reading, knitting, solving puzzles, and tending to her garden. Her youthful spirit was contagious, constantly defying her age. She was fortunate to reside with her son Robert and his wife Nancy, which allowed her to remain close to her loved ones. Pauline’s life serves as an inspiration to all, a remarkable example of how to truly live.

Pauline will forever be remembered in her community as a kind, caring, and generous woman. Known for her ever-present smile and willingness to assist others, she leaves behind a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her absence will be deeply mourned by her sons, Robert Keirstead (Nancy) of Hopewell Hill and Gary Keirstead (Stacey) of Moncton; her cherished grandchildren, James (Jennifer), Jeff (Rikki), David (Chelsea), and Michelle (Barjona); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Wyatt, Grayson, and Benjamin. Additionally, she will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends, her church community, and her fellow members of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, Pauline is reunited in death with her beloved husband, Robert Weldon Keirstead, her sister Beatrice Irving (Omer), and her brother Aubrey Daley (Evelyn).

A special Order of the Eastern Star Service will be held at 1:45pm prior to the funeral service, honoring Pauline’s dedication to the organization. A Celebration of her life will take place at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday, November 3rd at 2PM, with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating. Following the service, there will be an opportunity to share memories and enjoy refreshments together. Pauline will be laid to rest in the Alma United Cemetery, Alma, NB.
