Pearl Kristjanson (formerly McCarthy) was born in Ritchie, Saskatchewan and peacefully passed away at the age of 91 in New Westminster, British Columbia. She is survived by her beloved children David, Patti, Gord (Elaine), and John, as well as her brother Roger McCarthy and sister-in-law Faye Kristjanson. Pearl was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 64 years, Hardy Kristjanson, her parents Tim and Gladys McCarthy, and her sisters Joan, Mickey, and Patricia. She leaves behind a legacy of love, care, and generosity as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Pearl had a passion for poetry and was an enthusiastic golfer and bowler. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at Royal City Manor. A celebration of Pearl’s life will take place on August 22nd from 1pm to 3pm at the Sapperton Community Hall in New Westminster, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Share Food Bank.

Pearl is survived by her loving children: David, Patti, Gord (Elaine), and John. Her grandchildren include Jocelyn (Adam) and Colby, and her great-granddaughters are Makena and Zoey. She is also survived by her brother Roger (Donna) McCarthy, Sister-in-law Faye Kristjanson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Pearl will always be remembered as a caring and generous wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a deep love for poetry and was an enthusiastic golfer and bowler. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Royal City Manor for their kindness and compassionate care. A celebration of Pearl’s life will be held on August 22nd from 1pm to 3pm at the Sapperton Community Hall in New Westminster, BC.
