Philippa McPhee

Philippa Anne “Pepi” McPhee, born on October 15, 1969, sadly passed away on June 30, 2023, after a courageous battle with ALS. Originally from Saskatoon, Pepi received her education at Roland Michner Elementary School and Evan Hardy Collegiate. In 1988, she relocated to Victoria, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her life. Eventually settling in Edmonton, she dedicated herself to raising her three beloved boys: Matthew, aged 19, Nicholas, aged 17, and Joshua, aged 12. Throughout her illness, Pepi’s sons have shown immense strength and love, providing her with immeasurable joy.

Pepi possessed an extraordinary ability to connect with individuals facing challenges and in dire need of assistance. Working as a behavioral educational assistant, she experienced tremendous fulfillment in helping numerous children realize their true potential. Peppered with her vibrant personality and zest for life, Pepi was a unique and unforgettable individual. Laughter was a constant companion until the end, and her love for fun was evident in everything she did. She will be deeply missed by many, but her “boys” will undoubtedly feel her absence the most. Kevin Marr and Zen Ladouceur will also mourn her departure.

A memorial service in honor of Pepi will take place on July 28, 2023, at Serenity Funeral Home in Spruce Grove. In remembrance of Pepi, raise a glass and share a toast, for she will be toasting you back. Her spirit is reminiscent of a shining diamond that will forever remain in our hearts.
