Phyllis Kaminski passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving behind a deep sense of loss. She was reunited with her late husband, Edward, who regarded her as an angel during their time on Earth. Phyllis was a devoted and caring mother to Linda Guy (Bill), Michael, Karen, Paul, and Gary (Bobbi). She was also a cherished grandmother to Ryan and Amy Lynn Guy, and soon to be a great-grandmother to Elizabeth. Phyllis was the dear sister of the late Delores Specht (Mike), Louise Clark (late Jeff), and Chris Maslanka. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Gladys Maslanka, as well as her sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Rudolph Slomiany.

In addition to being a loving family member, Phyllis led an active life filled with various hobbies and interests. Gardening, cooking, baking, cruising, and reading were among her favorite activities. She had a remarkable ability to care for others, extending her compassion and support to loved ones, friends, neighbors, and even strangers through her work in hospice care. Phyllis was always there to lend a listening ear, offer guidance, and join in celebrating the joys of life. Her family could not have asked for a better mother, and her presence will be deeply missed.

A life celebration in honor of Phyllis Kaminski will be held on Friday, with visitation taking place from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Families First located at 3260 Dougall Ave, South Windsor. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, and burial will take place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
