Raymond Hilton Broadbent, born in 1944, passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 78, surrounded by his loving family in the Pilgrims Hospice in Edmonton. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always ready to lend a helping hand regardless of the magnitude of the task. Raymond was known for his strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and career.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 53 years, Darleen, his daughter Stacey Albrecht (Michael), his son Garett Broadbent (Alesha), his cherished grandchildren Owen and Rocky Albrecht, and Kaden, Rilen, and Maren Broadbent. He is also survived by his sisters Marilyn, Lynda (Ted), and Beverly (Omer), as well as his brothers Everett (Glenys) and Garry (Evelyn). Additionally, he leaves behind his sister-in-law Iona (Ed), brothers-in-law Gordon (Val) and Greg, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Unfortunately, Raymond was predeceased by his parents Eddie and Hazel, father and mother-in-law Leslie and Louise, brother-in-law Thomas, and niece Trish and nephews Cameron and David.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Raymond’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Parkland Funeral Chapel in Stony Plain, AB. For those unable to attend, a Livestream option will be available, with details accessible on the Parkland Funeral Services website. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made in Raymond’s memory to either the Pilgrims Hospice or the Light Up Your Life Society.
