Richard Waller, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, family man, friend, and dedicated sports enthusiast, peacefully passed away on August 7, 2023. Born on July 10, 1943, Richard Waller led a passionate and dedicated life, finding joy and camaraderie through his love for curling and golf. Richard’s commitment to these sports reflected his zest for life and determination to stay active. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lesley Waller, but later found love and companionship with Elaine. Richard’s skills as a craftsman and carpenter were unparalleled, leaving behind a lasting legacy of his craftsmanship that will be treasured by his loved ones.

Richard’s devotion to his family was unwavering, and he is survived by his children Peter, Joe, and Samantha Moreau, whom he loved dearly. He was also a doting grandfather to Haley, Madi, Carter, Cora, Laura, Ben, and Sam. Richard shared a close bond with his siblings, Irene Holland, Thelma Mott, Larry Waller, George Waller, and Noreen Jarvis. As we say goodbye to Richard Waller, we celebrate a life filled with love, family, sportsmanship, and craftsmanship. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the laughter echoed, and the love felt by all who were fortunate to know him.

A gathering to honor and celebrate Richard’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Payne Funeral Home in Odessa. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF) in Richard’s memory. May Richard rest in eternal peace and may his spirit continue to inspire us all to live our lives to the fullest.
