Robert “Bob” Baron, 83, peacefully passed away in the embrace of his beloved wife Marie on October 14, 2023. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta in 1940 to Emil and Emma Baron. Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie, his daughter Lisa (Weldon), son Michael Baron, grandson Jaden Baron (Shaeleigh), three sisters, Joyce Bergstreiser, Annette Sierpinski (Ed), and Phyllis Mitrenga (Larry), as well as his brother Dave Baron (Brenda). He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Sidney. He will forever remain in our hearts and will be sorely missed. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caring and dedicated staff at the Westview Health Continuing Care in Stony Plain.

A visitation for Bob will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Heritage Pavilion in Stony Plain, AB from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service to honor Bob will follow at 1 p.m., with a lunch to be served afterwards. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Church of God (Seventh Day) Parkland County.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta in 1940 to Emil and Emma Baron, Bob will be remembered as a cherished member of the Stony Plain community. Survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Marie, and their children Lisa (Weldon) and Michael Baron, his legacy also lives on through his grandson Jaden Baron (Shaeleigh). Remembered fondly, Bob is also survived by his three sisters, Joyce Bergstreiser, Annette Sierpinski (Ed), and Phyllis Mitrenga (Larry), as well as his brother Dave Baron (Brenda). Additionally, he leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, and extended family. The loss of his parents, Emil and Emma, as well as his brother Sidney, precedes Bob’s passing. Though Bob is no longer with us, his memory will forever reside in our hearts. The family expresses their heartfelt appreciation to the attentive staff at the Westview Health Continuing Care in Stony Plain, who provided exceptional care and affection.

To pay respects to Bob, a visitation will take place at the Heritage Pavilion in Stony Plain on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., followed by a post-service luncheon. In lieu of floral tributes, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Church of God (Seventh Day) Parkland County, as a display of support and remembrance for Bob’s life.

Bob’s memory is also cherished by his three sisters, Joyce Bergstreiser, Annette Sierpinski (Ed), and Phyllis Mitrenga (Larry), as well as his brother Dave Baron (Brenda). His presence will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Bob’s parents, Emil and Emma, and his brother Sidney have preceded him in death. Though Bob’s physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will endure in our hearts eternally. The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the compassionate and dedicated staff at the Westview Health Continuing Care facility in Stony Plain, whose care and devotion brought comfort during Bob’s final days.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation in honor of Bob’s life, which will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Heritage Pavilion located at 5100 – 41 Avenue, Stony Plain, AB. Following the visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Bob’s life will commence at 1 p.m., with a lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Church of God (Seventh Day) Parkland County, located at 18 Sunrise Road, Carvel, AB T0E 0H0, as per Bob’s wishes.
