HEYS, Robert Bruce ‘Bob’

It is with deep sadness that our family announces the loss of a cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and dear friend. Bob peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the age of 80. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years, Cheryl. Bob’s children, Dee (Hank), Vicki (late Myles), and Cory (Susan), carry heavy hearts but also hold onto cherished memories. He took great pride in being a loving and proud grandfather to Thomas, Emily, Evan, and Avery. Bob will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends.

Bob concluded his distinguished career in 2004 after over four decades of dedicated service as a highly-regarded employee at Cascades Dominion/Hartmann. His retirement marked the end of a fulfilling and rewarding professional journey. Fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, Bob’s warm presence and genuine nature endeared him to many.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, located at 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331, on Friday, September 1, 2023, between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Magnolia Suite at the funeral home from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.
