Roberta (Robbi) Jo Green, born on January 28, 1964, peacefully passed away on September 18, 2023, at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, B.C. Robbi’s journey began in Calgary, where she was born and raised. She pursued her higher education at the University of Calgary before transferring to the University of British Columbia, where she earned her Bachelor of Management degree. Her professional career commenced at the Royal Bank of Canada, where she cultivated lifelong friendships with her colleagues. Throughout her time with the bank, Robbi found fulfillment in her role as the Senior Manager of Group Risk Management.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Robbi had a passion for experiencing new cultures and building connections with people through travel. She also had a deep love for sports and athleticism. From her days playing soccer with the U of C Dinos to engaging in activities like skiing, cycling, and even completing the challenging Vancouver to Whistler RBC Gran Fondo cycling event, her dedication to physical fitness was unwavering. Robbi’s caring and compassionate nature extended beyond humans to animals, particularly her cherished dog, Yoshi.

Robbi’s caring spirit touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact with her strength, kindness, generosity, and love. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones, including her mother Lydia Green of Calgary, Alberta, her father Neil Green of Kelowna, B.C., her brother Neil Green Junior (Suzanne) of Lethbridge, Alberta, her sister Mindy Green (Trevor) of Kelowna, B.C., as well as her niece Addysen Green (Austin) in Oahu, Hawaii. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional medical professionals and staff at St. Paul’s Hospital, with a special acknowledgment to Sabrina Ismail and Lara Pisicoli.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Robbi will take place on Friday, October 6, at 5pm, hosted at the Grandville Island Hotel located at 1253 Johnston Street, Vancouver, B.C. Those who wish to commemorate Robbi’s memory are encouraged to make a donation to the SPCA or any animal rescue or shelter organization of their choice.
