Rolf Falkenberg, a beloved individual known for his kindness and generosity, has departed from this world in search of his next grand adventure. Alongside his cherished wife Natalie, Rolf was an exceptional host who delighted in entertaining guests, including family, friends, neighbors, and even traveling musicians. With an extensive repertoire of stories and jokes, he never failed to bring laughter to any gathering. Rolf had a unique ability to forge authentic connections, and it only took one clever pun to turn a stranger into a newfound friend.
In addition to his enthusiasm for entertaining, Rolf held a deep affection for his three daughters. Together with Natalie, they explored numerous countries, creating countless cherished memories along the way. Rolf’s love for music was contagious, evident through the wide grin he wore while blasting tunes. It was not uncommon to witness tears of joy welling up in his eyes at concerts. His passion for music radiated palpably, leaving an everlasting impact.
Rolf was a devoted husband, proud father, doting grandfather, and a cherished friend to many. He possessed a diverse range of interests, being both a collector and craftsman, as well as a connoisseur and goofball at heart. To those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him, Rolf will be fondly missed and warmly remembered.
Survived by his loving wife Natalie, Rolf leaves behind a lasting legacy. His daughters Kate (Lindsay), Holly (Chris), and Cassi, accompanied by his grandchildren Maverick and Sadie, will forever cherish his memory. Additionally, Rolf held dear his sisters Cora (Wayne) and Claudia, who held an invaluable place in his heart. As an Uncle and Gruncle, Rolf’s nieces and nephews will forever carry the love he showered upon them. Finally, his beloved feline companion Claw will undoubtedly miss the warmth of Rolf’s lap.
Rolf is preceded in death by his mother Cora Falkenberg, father Rolf Falkenberg Sr, and brother-in-law Jim Turcott. In honor of Rolf’s memory, donations can be made to the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation, a cause he passionately supported.
