Ronald Savage, 83, passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health on August 10, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Josephine Buchanan and the caring father of Tony, Steve, and Mike. In addition, he was a loving Grampa to Julie Skillas, Jason Savage, Corey and Vanessa Savage, Kyle and Logan Savage, as well as a cherished Great-grampa to Ellie Savage, Caiden and Easton Davison, Emmeline and Chloe Skillas. Ronald will also be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends, including Munah Agali and her sons, Zane and Kaima, along with numerous nieces and nephews in both Canada and England.

Ronald had a fulfilling career as a Process Operations instructor at Lambton College, where he not only made lifelong friendships but also supported his students in finding employment. Actively involved in the community, he dedicated his time to various organizations such as Sacred Heart Church, Cursillo, Community Living, and St. Vincent de Paul. Ron’s passion for rugby, which originated during his time in England, continued to thrive in Sarnia. He played for the Sarnia Saints Rugby team and later became a coach at the high school level. Known for his sense of humor and his zest for life, Ronald was a source of love and laughter to all who knew him.

Cremation has been carried out as per his wishes. A visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 11 a.m., followed by a private entombment of his ashes at Resurrection Cemetery. In memory of Ronald, friends may choose to make donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Ron, you were truly the best and will be deeply missed by all whose lives you touched.
