Sandra Bell
It is with deep sadness that the family of Sandra Lee Bell announces her passing on November 5, 2023, at the age of 76, at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre. Born in Summerside, PEI, on September 13, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Sterling and Vera (Paugh) Smith. After her early years in New Brunswick, she became an elementary school teacher in Saint John after meeting her husband Randy at a dance in Fredericton.
Sandra was known for her bright and warm personality, leaving a positive impact on her students and everyone she encountered. After taking time off from teaching to raise her children, she poured her heart and soul into her family and was known for her unwavering love and care. She enjoyed spending time with friends, engaging in hobbies, and cherished her time at the family cottage and in Florida after Randy’s retirement.
Sandra will be greatly missed by her husband of 52 years, Randy, her daughter Katherine Anne Bell, her son Tim Bell, her grandchildren, and her sisters Linda Patterson, Sharon Leblanc, and Sylvia Stackhouse. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Reid’s Funeral Home, with a private family interment to follow at Kirkhill Cemetery, Sussex. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of New Brunswick or a charity of choice.
