Sarah SCHEER

Sarah Scheer, also known as Shirley, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023, at the age of 88. She was the beloved wife of the late Dezider. Sarah was a devoted mother and mother-in-law to Leonard and Franceen, Mark and Margo, and Alan and John. She was also a cherished Bubbie to her grandchildren Lior, Ruby, Yaniv, Natalie, Daniel, Myah, Amit, and Oren. Sarah took great pride in being a proud great-grandmother to Dezi.

Sarah was preceded in death by her siblings, Becky, Ann, and Abe, as well as Dezider’s siblings, Marta, Jan, Armin, Sandor, Leonka, and Ilonka. She was the daughter of Marco and Rose Rothenberg. Sarah’s warmth and love will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 3, at 12:00 p.m. at Paperman & Sons, located at 3888 Jean Talon St. W. Sarah will be laid to rest in the Beth Zion Congregation Section at Eternal Gardens Cemetery in Beaconsfield. The family has requested that the shiva period remain strictly private. In memory of Sarah, contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
