Shirley Pauline (Bull) Barned, a resident of Royal Oak Living, peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, September 25, 2023 at the age of 84. She was the cherished wife of the late Frank Barned and the adored mother of Dan Barned (Diane), Harold Barned (Louanne), Lynn Reid (Wilf), Eva Macedo (Al), late John Barned (Daphne), and Jennifer Grimoldby (Don). Shirley was a much-loved grandmother to Michael, Aliea, Jeffrey, Willy, late Vincent, Dennis, Janelle, Shayna, Kailey, Joey, and Abigail, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was the dear sister of Rose May, Harold Fisher Jr, late Dorothy Van Natter, late Sandra Hill, late Doris Cook, and late Beatrice Fisher. Shirley was born on October 20, 1938, in Welland to Nettie Bull (Howard-Abel) and Sam Bull.

A visitation for Shirley will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Williams Funeral Home, located on 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas. You are welcome to pay your respects between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., as well as 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. A funeral service in her honor will take place on Saturday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment at Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests remembrances to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada.

She was the dear sister of Rose May, Harold Fisher Jr, the late Dorothy Van Natter, the late Sandra Hill, the late Doris Cook, and the late Beatrice Fisher. Shirley was born on October 20, 1938, in Welland to the late Nettie Bull (Howard-Abel) and Sam Bull.
