Steve LIOUNIS

Steve Liounis, age 95, peacefully passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at PeopleCare Oakcrossing in London. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna Liounis (née Stratakos) for 62 years and the loving father of Matula and Tony (Kathy). He was also a cherished Pappou to Stavros. Steve was the dear brother-in-law of Helen (the late Pandeli) Eleftheroglou, Steve (Soula) Stratakos, Christine (the late Arigiris) Tambourlos, the late Angela (the late Terry) Rigakos, and the late Georgia (Theothoro) Vergiris. He had a special place in the hearts of his nieces and nephews, Tony, Matula, Dina, Kosta, Georgia, Peter, and Sotiri, all residing in Toronto. Steve will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Gus, George, and Nico, all from Greece. Steve will be remembered for his love of gardening and his easygoing nature.

Visitation for Steve Liounis will take place at Logan Funeral Home, located at 371 Dundas Street in London, Ontario (between Waterloo and Colborne St.), on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 6-9 p.m. Prayers will be conducted in the Logan Chapel that evening at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, located at 131 Southdale Rd. W., London, Ontario, on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in London, Ontario. For those who wish to express their condolences, memorial donations can be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation in honor of Steve.
