Suzanne Gallop

Suzanne Doreen Gallop, beloved wife of the late Douglas Henry Gallop, passed away on October 28, 2023 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Keswick Ridge, NB. Suzanne was born on October 28, 1948, in Kentville, NS, to her parents Patrick and Evelyn (Yates) Saunders.

Suzanne dedicated her career to being an Educational Assistant at Gibson Neill Memorial Elementary School for Anglophone West. However, her true passion in life was her grandchildren. Spending quality time with her family and friends at her cherished cottage, known as The Lake House, brought Suzanne great joy and fulfillment.

Survived by her son Christopher Gallop (Wendy) of Keswick Ridge, Suzanne leaves behind a lasting legacy. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Emma, Adam, and Michael, as well as her sisters Sharon White (Robert), Cathy Wilson (Wayne), and Irene Saunders, and brother Mike Saunders (Judy). Additionally, Suzanne’s memory is carried on by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brothers Garfield and Patrick Saunders (Brenda).

Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home in Fredericton on November 2, 2023, from 6 to 9 PM, followed by the funeral service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Zealand, NB, on November 3, 2023, at 11 am. Reverend Debbie Edmondson will officiate the service, and Suzanne will be laid to rest at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery in Zealand.
