Sylvain LESSARD

Sylvain Charles Lessard, affectionately known as Sly, passed away on October 24, 2023, at the age of 20. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. Sylvain was the son of Line Pouliot and Marco Lessard, and the spouse of Edith Martineau. He had a special bond with his brother Nicolas and his stepsister Tanya Martineau. Additionally, he was a loving boyfriend to Aleksa Renaud. Sylvain’s passing is mourned by his extended family, cherished friends, and the Lessard’s, Martineau’s, Pouliot’s, and Renaud’s.

From a young age, hockey captured Sylvain’s heart. He began playing the sport at the age of 4 and it became his ultimate passion. Throughout his life, he played for various teams, including the Leamington Flyers, Wheatley Omestead Sharks, and the Lakeshore Canadiens. Known for his strong work ethic, culinary skills, and kind nature, Sylvain also enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, kayaking, and golfing. He attended L’Essor High School and, more recently, graduated as a Powerline Technician from St. Clair College Chatham. He worked at Windsor Power & Light, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and peers.

The Lessard family expresses their deepest gratitude to the compassionate community for their overwhelming support, love, and contributions during this difficult time. Sylvain’s memory will forever be cherished. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell on Thursday, November 2, 2023, and cremation will follow.
