Terry peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, and joined his Lord and Saviour. He will always be lovingly remembered by his children, Tracy (Jennifer) Rowsell and Angela (Kingsley) Reed. Terry’s grandchildren, Harrison, Megan, Kaitlin, Ben, and Carter, held a special place in his heart. He also cherished his lifelong best friend, JoAnn, and had a close bond with his brother-in-law, Jack Boltz. Terry leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Sadly, Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Eliza Jane McKenney, and Jim Rowsell, as well as his siblings, Gladys (Fred) Swanson, Audrey (Alex) Cairns, Marjorie (Guy) Faires, Joan (Ralph) Gavel, and Leslie (Mercedes) Rowsell. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Bethany Harvest Hills for the exceptional and loving care they provided to Terry during his final years. Friends and loved ones are invited to a visitation at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, located at 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Sunday, August 13, 2023, between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service in Terry’s honor will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. For those unable to attend in person, the Funeral Service will be live streamed. His grandchildren, Harrison, Megan, Kaitlin, Ben, and Carter were profoundly cherished and held a special place in his heart. Together, Terry and JoAnn shared an unbreakable bond of friendship, while his brother-in-law, Jack Boltz, was someone Terry considered a treasured confidant. Terry’s extended family included a host of beloved nieces and nephews. Tragically, Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Eliza Jane McKenney, and Jim Rowsell. His siblings, Gladys (Fred) Swanson, Audrey (Alex) Cairns, Marjorie (Guy) Faires, Joan (Ralph) Gavel, and Leslie (Mercedes) Rowsell, were also laid to rest before him. Acknowledging the exceptional care and affection Terry received during the final years of his life, the family expresses profound gratitude to the compassionate staff at Bethany Harvest Hills. Terry’s departure from this earthly plane was preceded by the passing of his parents, Fred and Eliza Jane McKenney, as well as Jim Rowsell. Additionally, Terry deeply mourned the loss of his siblings, Gladys (Fred) Swanson, Audrey (Alex) Cairns, Marjorie (Guy) Faires, Joan (Ralph) Gavel, and Leslie (Mercedes) Rowsell.
