Therese LeBlanc

Thérèse LeBlanc, age 83, passed away on Sunday, July 9th, 2023 in Moncton, NB. Thérèse had a unique family history, as she was the daughter of Edmond and Yvonne Arsenault. However, she was raised by Honoré and Marianne LeBlanc (Lavoie) and their family from a young age. This led to Omer, Thérèse’s husband, jokingly referring to Thérèse as both his aunt and his grandfather’s daughter.

Thérèse and Omer were married for 62 years, and she will be deeply missed by her husband Omer, as well as her sister Rita King-Belliveau and her brothers Paul (Madelaine) King and Fred (late Donna) King. Thérèse was also predeceased by her parents, two infant siblings, Cecile and Henri, and her seven foster siblings in the LeBlanc family. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Known for her gentle personality, Thérèse enjoyed spending time with friends, reading, and completing word puzzles. She was a devoted wife who took on the responsibility of cooking, cleaning, and doing the dishes for her husband Omer. Together, they traveled extensively, whether it was for Omer’s Air Force career or exploring various parts of Canada, the United States, and Europe in their RV. Thérèse also treasured the friendships she had with relatives and lifelong friends, including Priscilla Clark, Robert Cormier, Linda Ward, and the Bernard sisters.

During Thérèse’s illness, the support and love from family members, friends, and neighbors touched both her and Omer deeply. They were especially grateful for the friendship and assistance provided by Lisa Maillet and Jean-Guy LeBlanc during these difficult times. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 at Passage-Chartersville, followed by a funeral service and reception. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Lung Association are welcomed.

The family invites condolences to be shared on the online book available at http://www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca. Arrangements are being handled by Passage-Chartersville Funeral Co-operative and Cremation Centre.
