Thomas Fredrick McMillan&nbsp(Tom)

Tom passed away peacefully, on somewhat his own terms, with Jackie, Shannon, Robin and nephew Ryan, by his side.
Survived by his loving wife, Jackie, daughter Shannon (Eric) Kunstadt, son Robin, wonderful grandchildren Tobon, Lily, Cameron, Levi and Elijah, and the mother of his children, Bonnie Baldwin. He is also survived by his sister, Sheila Hunter (Doug).

Upon graduation in Brockville, Tom obtained a Diploma in Business Administration at Algonquin College, where he learned to play bridge. Upon graduation, he soon learned that the business world was not for him. He followed his grandfather, father and two uncles into a career as a locomotive engineer, which he enjoyed for 36 years.

During retirement he enjoyed living in Brockville, with several summer spent in Newfoundland, and winters in Florida. He made numerous wonderful friends in all places. He made several of these friends through karaoke, where his lack of talent was more than compensated for by his enthusiasm.

He enjoyed golf until he didn’t, sports, especially baseball, and socializing. While he is sad to be leaving behind family and friends, he’s not particularly sorry about leaving this total mess of a world.

Some of it’s magic,
Some of it’s tragic,
But he had a good life all the way.
~Jimmy Buffett

As per his wishes, Tom was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be had on Saturday, May 25th and the Brockville Legion from 2:00 until 6:00 in the lower level.
