Thomas Strange &nbsp(Tom)

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Tom at the Golden manor on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the age of 74. He was the cherished husband of Barbara Strange (nee Lotzke) and the loving father of Karen Alison Strange of Oshawa and Kevin Thomas Strange (Amy) of Arnprior. Tom was also a beloved grandfather to Layla and Lucas, and a dear brother to Donna Racine (Gilles) and Allen Strange (Kim). He is survived by several sisters-in-law. Tom was born and raised in Noranda Quebec, and worked for many years at Noranda mines before moving to Timmins in 1973, where he worked at Texas Gulf and married his beloved Barbara.

Tom was known for his love of hockey and his enjoyment of watching curling. His hobbies included hunting, snowmobiling, visiting his parents’ cottage, and fishing. He especially treasured the salmon fishing trips he took with his father in Wawa every August. Following Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family requests that any remembrance donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in his honor. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Miron-Wilson Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre in Timmins, ON.

The family is mourning the loss of Tom, who brought joy and love to their lives. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and his legacy will continue on.
