Valorie Lynne Preston (nee McPhadden) passed away unexpectedly in Ottawa on November 1, 2023, at the age of 80. She was born in Winnipeg on May 13, 1943, to Mary and Keith McPhadden, both of whom have passed away. She was also predeceased by her brother Hugh. Valorie is survived by her son Porter Dent, spouse Louise, sister Margaret (Patrick), brother Ian (Gloria Mai), and sister-in-law Patricia. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and their children, as well as members of her close extended family Todd Cain and Christine McAllister and their children.
