Vern Howey, a beloved member of the community, was born to Jenny and Lawrence Howey in Melfort, Sk. Later, the family relocated to Vancouver, where Vern received his education. With dedication and unwavering commitment, Vern served as an employee at the Loggers Agency for an astounding 35 years. It was during this time that fate introduced him to his kind-hearted soulmate, Joan. In 1959, they embarked on a beautiful journey of marriage, blessed with the presence of their two wonderful children, Jennifer and Jeff.

Vern was a man who truly understood the value of cherished moments spent with loved ones. He adored his four grandchildren and eagerly shared his passions with them, whether it be fishing, skiing, gardening, traveling, or caring for pets. The family’s joy was further amplified during their regular visits to Ambleside Doggy Park, accompanied by their loyal Dalmatian. Sadly, Vern’s absence leaves a significant void in the lives of his family and friends, who will forever remember his warm presence and dearly cherish the memories they created together.

Today, we bid a fond farewell to Vern Howey, a man whose spirit touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Though he has left this earthly realm, his kindness, love, and zest for life will continue to resonate with us. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Vern’s grieving family and friends. May they find solace in the memories of the precious time they shared with Vern, knowing that his legacy lives on through his loved ones.
