Wilfred Joseph Caille, age 97, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Southwood Lakes Extendicare, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Vonda, Saskatchewan, he was the son of Edgar and Bernadette Caille. He will be remembered as the beloved husband of the late Joan Caille, who passed away in 1980. Wilfred is survived by his children Judy and Mark Monforton, Mike and Ginette Caille, Barry and Patsy Caille, Diane and Cary Lucier, Howard and Dawn Caille, and Lana and the late Brian Caille. He leaves behind a cherished legacy, being greatly missed by his 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Wilfred will be fondly remembered as a kind brother by Denise, and sister-in-law Irene, although he has been preceded in death by Cecile, Aurore, Arthur, Louise, Beatrice, Irene, Roland, Armand, and Murielle.
There will be visitation hours for family and friends at Janisse Funeral Home, located at 1139 Ouellette Ave. Windsor, ON (519-253-5225). Gathering hours are appointed for Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday, November 6, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Church, located at 1947 Meldrum Road, Windsor, ON. After the service, burial will take place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. The family kindly requests that any donations in memory of Wilfred be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, as it would be greatly appreciated.
