Wilhelm Josef Kutterer (Bill)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bill at the age of 77, on August 25, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife, Lynda Joly. Bill was born in Germany in 1946 to his parents, Wilhelm and Katharina (Veh). He is survived by his daughter, Genevieve, and son, James, along with their respective spouses, Lauren. In addition, he leaves behind his beloved nieces, Serena and Livia, and his nephew, Joseph. Bill took great pride in being an Opa to his grandsons, James Jr. and Rylee, while also embracing his role as a stepfather to Jeff (Christy) and Russel (Michelle) Joly. He was a cherished step-grandfather to Kayla (Eric), Kody, and Aiden, and a step-great-grandfather to Isaiah, Luca, and Sebastian. Ralph and Janet Bayley were loving brother-in-laws to Bill.

We would like to express our gratitude to the dedicated staff at The Ottawa Civic Hospital for their unwavering care and devotion to Bill during his time there.

A celebration of Bill’s extraordinary life will take place on September 11, 2023, at All Saints Church, located at 347 Richmond Rd. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:30 am, followed by his burial at Highland Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Ottawa Hospital, Kidney Foundation, The Canadian Arthritis Society, or S.P.C.A., as Bill held these organizations close to his heart.
