William ‘Grant’ Blair, aged 92, peacefully passed away on August 29, 2023, at Glendale Crossing Long Term Care. He will be forever remembered as the beloved husband of Margaret Blair for nearly 66 years until her passing in 2017. Grant was a loving father to Carolyn Wood, Beverley Yates, Judy Marinelli, and Gordon Blair, all of whom preceded him in death. His memory will be cherished by his grandchildren Kirstin Novak, Graeme Wood, Ken Yates, Karen Kipling, Sarah-Teresa Marinelli, and Louis and Daniel Marinelli. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Neveah and Myla Novak, Freddie Wood, and Lily Kipling. In addition to his immediate family, Grant will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

During his lifetime, Grant worked as a music teacher and church organist in Montreal, Stratford, and London. His passion for classical music, along with his love for dogs, steam engines, and cars, made him a unique and vibrant individual. He was known for his sense of humor and his interest in family history. Grant’s funeral service will be held on September 2 at Metropolitan United Church, followed by a private interment at Woodland Cemetery.
