William SHURISH

William Shurish, a resident of Port Stanley, passed away on October 22, 2023, at the age of 78. He was a beloved husband to Susan Shurish and a cherished father to Matthew and Burke. William was also a proud grandfather to Ryker, Nicholas, and Xander. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, George Shurish and Mary Kay Cameron, as well as his extended family. William was born on October 6, 1945, in Windsor to Alan and Kathleen Shurish. Having retired from Quad County Support Services, he dedicated his life to his passions, which included golf, coaching youth baseball, playing basketball, cooking, and his involvement with Big Brothers.

In honor of William’s life, a celebration will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place, and the family kindly requests that any remembrances be made to the Parkinson Foundation. The arrangements are being handled by Williams Funeral Home, located at 45 Elgin St. in St. Thomas.

Born on October 6, 1945, in Windsor, William was the son of Alan and Kathleen Shurish. Following his retirement from Quad County Support Services, William enjoyed pursuing his passions, such as golfing, coaching youth baseball, playing basketball, cooking, and being involved with Big Brothers.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
