Yvan Armand Lejeune

Born in Verviers, Belgium on August 26th, 1955, Yvan passed away unexpectedly at his residence on August 5, 2023. He is survived by his devoted wife Nicole, his daughters Michelle and Monique (Murray), and his grandchildren Gage and Toby. Yvan also had a sister, Martine, and two brothers, Christian and Richard, as well as several nieces and nephews. Those who had the privilege of knowing Yvan will always remember his kind and generous heart, and his memory will be cherished forever.

At the age of 10, Yvan immigrated to Canada with his parents and siblings in 1965. They settled in Montreal, Quebec, before eventually making their way to British Columbia. In the early 70s, they relocated to Calgary, where Yvan would meet the love of his life, Nicole. On July 10th, 1976, they exchanged vows and embarked on a life journey together. Soon after, they were blessed with the arrival of their daughters, Michelle and Monique.

Yvan and Nicole built their family in the High River area, making it their beloved home. He established his company CMAC, which he proudly operated for over three decades. Yvan’s passion for firearms led him to connect with cherished friends who shared the same interest. Additionally, he discovered a new passion for playing the guitar, faithfully practicing late into the night. Yvan’s sense of humor, love for the outdoors, and unwavering willingness to help others will always be remembered. Throughout his years, he had several beloved animal companions, including his faithful furry friend, Benny the Beagle, who crossed the rainbow bridge the day after Yvan’s passing.
